Tim Boatright is a Tampa-based marketing creative, sculptor, painter, graphic designer and printmaker who explores a variety of creative pursuits including traditional, vintage graphic, contemporary and mid-century styles. Tim’s work is in private, public and corporate collections.
As a fine artist, he’s worked with cities and public entities on numerous public art projects. In early 2016 a solo exhibition at the Tampa Bay History Center – a Smithsonian Affiliate Museum– featured Tim’s work. The Tampa Relic Collection is now on permanent display at the museum.
Tim is the featured artist at Tampa International Airport’s “Shoppes on Bayshore,” a 6000 sq. ft. retail shop located on the main terminal.
Two of Tim’s pieces are on permanent display in Congresswoman Kathy Castor’s Office in the U.S. Capitol.
Charitable involvement has made a great impact on his work. He’s enjoyed the privilege of serving as a creative volunteer for the Farm of the Child, an orphanage in Honduras for almost two decades and currently serve on the U.S. Board of Directors. Other charities include Trinity Cafe, a restaurant serving the homeless and hungry.
He has received numerous grants and awards, including an Arts Council of Hillsborough County Individual Artist’s Grant. His work has been featured in the Tampa Bay Times, in CODAWorks – an architectural and public arts online magazine and on the Art Populi series on WUSF, Tampa’s NPR station.
