Clearwater, Florida
Commissioned by Clearwater History Museum, this mural is brought to life to those viewing when they scan a QR code for a docent-led video explaining the story depicted in the three story tall mural.
I researched and designed the artwork and worked with the Vitale Brothers to create this monumental piece celebrating the history of Clearwater.
We professionally produced the video to tell the story of the many things making Clearwater, Florida a wonderful place to discover.
Tampa, Florida
To recognize donors who funded the beautiful renovations of their sanctuary Christ the King Catholic Church commissioned a donor recognition wall, placed behind the church in a highly trafficked garden. I was honored to create the centerpiece artwork and assist in the design of the structure.
The 30 feet long donor wall is built from stonework and ceramic tiles. The seven feet high artwork is reproduced on glazed tiles.
Temple Terrace, Florida
This design commemorates the history and beauty of Temple Terrace. The art was commissioned by the Temple Terrace Perservation Society in May 2020.
The community of Temple Terrace was originally part of an exclusive 19,000-acre game preserve called “Riverhills” belonging to Chicago socialite Bertha Potter Palmer.
Temple Terrace is one of the first planned golf-course communities in the United States. The area features many Mediterranean-Revival homes and other structures such as the original clubhouse shown in the illustration.
Personal note: I grew up in Temple Terrace and have many wonderful memories. It’s a great place to live!
Trujillo, Honduras
In 2009 I led group of 22 volunteer workers on trip to a remote site location in Honduras, on the edge of the rain forest, to build an outdoor “Capilla” (chapel) and prayer garden in one week at an orphanage. Volunteers were not artists, but from all walks of life.
Additionally, the project involved a great deal of improvisation, as it was in very rural area of Honduras, more than 3 hours from the nearest major city. Many on site decisions required due to supply issues in third world country.
